(The Wales Coast Path will officially be launched on 5th May 2012.
Wales will then be the first country in the world to have a formal trail the whole way around its coast.
Furthermore, the Wales Coast Path (which is 870 miles long) will join up with Offa’s Dyke Path National Trail to provide 1,030 miles of walking opportunities right around the Welsh border. The sheer size and brilliance of the Path has already received public recognition with Coastal Wales being acknowledged as the world’s top destination to visit in 2012 by Lonely Planet, the travel guide experts.

We are in easy driving distance from both the
coastline to the south at Tenby and, to the north, the west coast at
Cardigan, thus giving great accessability to a large section of the
Welsh Coastal Path.
Also within range are the islands of
Skomer, Ramsey and Grassholm, habitats of Puffins, Manx Shearwaters, Razorbills, Fulmars,
Kittiwakes and Guillemots, as well as Atlantic Grey Seals, Whales, Sharks, Dolphins and
Porpoises in the surrounding seas.
South West Wales overall is an ideal location for all outdoor and wildlife enthusiasts and lovers of natural beauty.

5th to 7th -
Big Welsh
Coastal Walk
The official opening of the 870 mile Path will be celebrated around the country – and it will be an exciting time to explore and embrace Wales’ coastal landscape. There will be three celebratory events along the coastline, showcasing all that is great about the Wales Coast Path. In addition to these events, Ramblers Cymru is organising the Big Welsh Coastal Walk. This will be a series of led walks, suitable for all levels of fitness, taking place on the weekend of 5th May along the Path. It is expected to be one of the largest mass participation events ever seen in Wales. Events will then continue throughout the summer as communities take the opportunity to hold their own celebrations.

This cosy, compact holiday accommodation is attached to the Glyn Elwyn smallholding, situated on a quiet country lane and ideal for a peaceful, relaxing break.
Sitting midway between Carmarthen and Cardigan, it offers an ideal location for visiting both the South and West coastlines from Tenby to Cardigan, as well as the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park and the Preseli Hills, and this year sees the launching of the Wales Coast Path. Walkers, birdwatchers and wildlife enthusiasts will be spoilt with the outstanding natural beauty of the Pembrokeshire and Carmarthenshire coastlines, including the numerous islands such as Skomer, Ramsey and Grassholm to the south west, and The Gower peninsula to the south east.
Tenby (don't misss out on a boat trip to Caldey Island owned by monks of the Cistercian order), Laugharne (with Dylan Thomas' boathouse), Pendine Sands (with it's beach stretching for 7 miles and where Malcolm Campbell and J.G. Parry-Thomas set the world land speed record five times between 1924 and 1927), the Preseli Hills (part of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park and perhaps best known for being the source of the bluestone rocks used to build Stonehenge), and St. Davids (Britain's smallest city) are all within easy reach, and garden enthusiasts must visit the magnificent National Botanic Gardens of Wales and Aberglasney in the stunning Towy valley, famous for its fishing, castles and historic houses.
The nearest shop is approximately 5 miles away, pub 1 mile, with restaurant and takeaways 10 miles to the south at St Clears.
There is also a Leisure Centre 8.5 miles away with visitor day memberships available to use the facilities, including swimming pool, gym, sauna and jacuzzi, with a coffee shop which provides a range of light meals, as well as breakfasts etc.

Lounge/kitchen/diner, 1 double bedroom with en-suite shower and basin, separate toilet.

Laundry - We provide a laundry service to include washing and drying at £5 per load or £10 per load if ironing is required too. Just ask.
The accommodation is on a working smallholding, with our pigs, sheep, goats, chickens, geese, ducks and horses, as well as Holly and Tash, our dogs.
A benefit of this is that we would normally expect to have free range eggs for sale, as well as home produced pork and lamb during certain times of the year, and seasonal fruit and veg.

How to find us
From Carmarthen take the A40 to St Clears. At St Clears traffic lights, follow directions
to Llanboidy, and after approx. 3.5 miles from St Clears, having passed
through Llangynin, turn right to Blaenwaun. After approx. 5.5 miles go through Blaenwaun
to end of 40 mph speed limit, and take left turning immediately after and we are approx.
0.5 miles on your left.
