The Oaks Driving Club

The Oaks Driving Club was formed in 1976 by a group of enthusiasts who wanted to provide the opportunity for carriage drivers to meet and show their turnouts locally. We cover the East Sussex area.

No matter what you drive, how little or much experience you have, even if you don't drive, you can be assured of a warm welcome at The Oaks Driving Club.

Oaks BBQ - Saturday 19th September - CANCELLED

Hello everyone

After the Prime Minister’s new orders that groups of no more than 6 people allowed together for the foreseeable future means we will have to cancel the club BBQ. Very annoying and frustrating, disappointing too - I was particularly looking forward to it. I have asked Christina to return everyone’s money or destroy cheques. Time is marching on towards winter so the best thing is to try and hold one next year.

The World Cup is able to go ahead as that is a sporting event, I already have already taken some entries for that so if you haven’t entered, please do so.

The committee have done their best with the past two events to keep you safe regarding Covid 19 regulations and I thank you all for your sensible actions and social distancing, both events have gone very smoothly and I hope everyone is comfortable when at an Oaks event.

Hope to see you at Hale Farm for the World Cup.

Keep safe

Liz
