The Oaks Driving Club

The Oaks Driving Club was formed in 1976 by a group of enthusiasts who wanted to provide the opportunity for carriage drivers to meet and show their turnouts locally. We cover the East Sussex area.

No matter what you drive, how little or much experience you have, even if you don't drive, you can be assured of a warm welcome at The Oaks Driving Club.

Quiz Night Cancelled

Happy New Year everyone

We were hoping to join in the Heron’s Ghyll RDA quiz on 19th February. However they have made the decision to cancel for the time being and plan to run later on.

We look forward to seeing you all at the Oaks AGM on 27th February 2022.

Hello everyone

A request was made to return trophies won at the last AGM, unfortunately some have still not been returned. We are now asking for all show trophies to be returned to. Please get them to Jan Curd, 54 Ersham Road, Hailsham BN27 3LG Asap.

Thank you to those who have returned trophies, nice and shiny and engraved.

Membership is now due, please join online or by post to the above address for Terry Woods attention.

By now our helpers, judges and stewards will have received an invitation to the lunch after the AGM, this is our way of thanking them for all their time and expertise.

If any others would like to join us for lunch, please send £10 cheque payable to Oaks Driving Club and send to me by 1st February. No tickets will be sold on the day, the caterers need to know numbers attending in advance.

Best wishes for 2022.

Trophies awarded in 2019

If you were awarded a trophy at the Oaks AGM in 2019, can you please return the trophy (clean and engraved) to Jan Curd (54 Ersham Road, Hailsham BN27 3LG) by 31st December.

Please don’t rely on returning your trophy on the day of the AGM because if you are unable to attend at the last minute the new recipient will be disappointed.

Thank you for those of you who already have returned your trophy.
