ZEKE now has a new home with a lovely local family, they already own one of our bitches, so Zeke will have a lovely Christmas with the company of a young lady!!! We wish them all the best, with a huge "Thank You" for giving him a really special home!

I have attached a couple of recent photos of Zeke.

As I mentioned before, my ex-partner owned Zeke, but when we split up four years ago he moved to London and I agreed to look after him. I have since had a baby and although he is good with children and my baby, it is becoming too much to look after a newborn and give Zeke the attention he deserves.

 Zeke is an extremely friendly dog, he loves people and a fuss. He makes the funniest noises and pulls very amusing facial expressions. He is really good with other dogs and I've never had an incident when he's been aggressive. Even if little dogs start barking at him on walks he just plods on and ignores them.

However, he doesn't like cats. He'll try to chase them but as soon as he gets face-to-face he doesn't know what to do with himself.

He is really good with children, but I'd trust him more with older children as he is big and clumsy and has accidentally knocked over my sister's little toddler before.

He is a house dog and dislikes being in kennels.

Zeke is excellent on and off the lead, but he doesn't like the rain too much. If it's pouring down with rain he'd rather avoid getting his feet wet than go for a walk.

He is an extremely loyal dog and if we go for a walk in a group and someone lags behind he will stay put until the pack is back together.

Zeke is a real character and a head turner. We'd like to keep him, but it has become a little too stressful with the baby, especially as we are planning for another one soon and it's unfair on Zeke.

Zvara's  & Yogi puppies are now 10 days old, & right little chunks! They are just starting to open their eyes, so will be on the move soon! there are dogs & bitches available from this litter, ready 6th Aug. See pic on front page.

Another warning; I have been told by various people of problems with a flea/worm/lungworm treatment called ADVOCATE......this has been causing all sorts of skin problems in RRs & Staffys as well, along with a skin problem it is affecting a lot of dogs immune systems, which will affect them for life; Please don't ever use it. & Don't use any skin drops if you can help it, PANACUR liquid or paste will kill lungworm in the right doses. RRs don't usually prove to be a good host to fleas, so are not usually a problem.

Keta and her wonderful 14 puppies are doing really well. The pups now have their eyes open, and are more active. All growing very fast, and very strong, healthy puppies! Kaiser, a beautiful 4 year old male out of Tuza (a Merlin daughter) and Sku (Zulu's Dad), needs a new, loving home due to a sad change in his owner's circumstances. Please see the Home Page for more details, and do contact us if you think you, or someone you know, could give him a lovely new home.

It's a very rare occurrence that we have to re-home one of our dogs (in fact, we've only ever had to do this a few times in over 20 years), but as part of our commitment as responsible breeders we will always find one of our dogs a new home should they need it, as the last thing we would want would be for one of our dogs to end up in rescue or worse still, a dogs home. As you will see from what Jo, his current owner, has said Kaiser is a wonderful example of the breed with a temperament to match...so if you can help him settle into a new home, do let us know.

Our Twitter page now has a number of new 'followers'! I am trying to update as often as I can, but with a new job in London and a long commute, it's not as often as I would like so bear with me while I settle into my new routine! Running a RR website, helping with dogs and puppies, and working long hours is a tiring combination!!!!

I have been told that Cesar Milan has written a new book that is fabulous! Look out for it,it is called how to raise the perfect dog! Have just started reading it; its great!

We used the new natural food "Natural Instinct" to rear this litter, & it was a hugh success, no diareah, no weedy pups, & all ate it with relish! They look super on it as well, so i am really pleased, as we just never seemed to get it right with the dry food. It is a raw meat/fruit veg/ mix, supplied frozen. check out their website; www.naturalinstinct.com

Big thank you to Linus Moran for coming up to photograph the pups on Friday; He has the patience of a saint, & expertise to do a brilliant job!  The pups slept really well that night! Have a look at his brilliant website www.linusmoran.co.uk  He will be able to supply copies of the prints if any of you would like some.  We now have only two pups available, one dog & one bitch from the Kobe X Boris litter, but i defy you to pick out the different litters in the photo! They all are like peas in a pod! JE

We also have just picked up our new puppy dog; YOGI, from Mike & Linda Parke (Veldtkammer) He is by V Mega Hassle (Gabanna) X Hespa High As a Kite At V (Africa) He is very dark red, & VERY special! Hugh thanks to Mike & Linda for letting us have this gorgeous boy! AE

We now have 1 male puppy available age 10 weeks (Due to us turning people down for him, as being un-suitable to own a RR!) from the Chobe X Gabanna litter, he is dark red, with a good ridge. He has had his vaccinations, been wormed 5 times now, and thoroughly checked for DS. He has a very easy going temperament. Please contact me for details.

 We have mated Kyumbe to a Zulu son called Boris, these pups will be due at the end of Feb and ready top go at the end of March 2010. We will be making a page for Boris as soon as Amy has time, in the meantime if you would like to see how handsome he is please contact me! AE

We do have the original copy of the report to show prospective owners, and are very proud of our excellent inspection results. We work hard to provide a safe and comfortable environment for our dogs and puppies - they are all members of our family and are treated as such. We are also very proud to have been involved with the Accredited Breeder Scheme since the start. Breeding healthy, happy puppies is what we do!
